Senior Frontend Engineer

Hey, I'm Alejandro.

I build software, solve problems, and care about the people behind the code.

I'm a Senior Frontend Engineer based in Madrid, specializing in Angular and modern web applications. I enjoy turning complex challenges into thoughtful solutions, collaborating across teams, and exploring how AI can help us build better software.

Where I've been

Over the past seven years, I've worked on web applications across different industries, from automotive and financial services to enterprise SaaS. Along the way, I've grown from building interfaces to taking greater ownership of frontend architecture, engineering practices, and collaboration across teams.

More than writing code

I believe good software comes from more than technical skills. It's about understanding the problem, making thoughtful decisions, and working well with the people around you.

  • Engineering with purpose

I care about clean, maintainable code and architecture that makes sense for the problem we're solving. I try to balance technical quality with practical decisions that help the team move forward.

  • Working together

I enjoy collaborating with Product, UX, and other engineers to challenge assumptions, explore alternatives, and find solutions that work for both users and the team.

  • AI as part of the workflow

I use AI tools like Cursor, ChatGPT, Codex, and Claude to explore codebases, plan implementations, solve problems, and accelerate development.

For me, AI is about enhancing the development process while keeping critical thinking and engineering judgment at the center.

A little more about me

Basketball has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I spent years playing competitively, and some of the most valuable lessons I've learned came from being part of a team: trusting others, taking responsibility, supporting your teammates, and getting through difficult moments together.

My journey into software wasn't exactly traditional. My connection to sports initially led me to study Physiotherapy. But I'd always been curious about computers, and after taking a course in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I discovered how much I enjoyed building things for the web. In 2019, I decided to change careers and pursue software development.

Let's connect.

I'm always happy to connect with people who enjoy building software, sharing ideas, and learning from each other.

Whether it's about technology, an interesting project, or just a good conversation, feel free to reach out.
